Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDescription\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVintage Abney Level \/ Clinometer Surveying Instrument with Leather Carrying Case\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA fascinating vintage precision surveying instrument, believed to be an Abney-type level\/clinometer, used for measuring angles, slopes and gradients.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe instrument features a finely graduated 90–0–90 degree scale, together with a percentage gradient scale, vernier scale, adjustable mechanism and spirit-level\/sighting arrangement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comes with its fitted brown leather carrying case with shoulder strap, along with the separate components shown in the photographs, including the small optical\/sighting component and round glass component.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe number 108 can be seen marked on components of the instrument.
